Goodbye to the Fact Tag
You know that shelf tag at Best Buy (and other stores) that lists the specifications of computers and other electronic devices? Well, it looks like that may be going away and replaced by something more readable, like descriptions of that the computer can do, not how fast the processor is. AMD moved to designations like “good,” “better” and “best.” It seems that the marketing people are finally understanding that not all consumers are “techies” who need that information right next to the product. Actually, the techie will most likely go online to get all of the specifications before he goes into the store to make a purchase.
