If you are looking for a cool, new Gmail notifier that sits in the system tray, [b2] has just what you’re looking for. It is a freeware Animated Gmail Notifier for Windows, MacOS and Linux since it’s based on Adobe AIR technology. Be aware that it is “alpha” software, so it hasn’t been through a lot of testing yet, but I tried it on one Gmail account and it works fine. You can change the animations and even create your own!
