Mainstream support for Windows XP stopped earlier this year. That means that any bugs (flaws) in the operating system will not be fixed. Extended support continues until April 2014. The folks over at Engadget have a pretty comprehensive Win 7 review. They reported on install/boot times/shutdown, UI enhancements and things that stayed the same as Vista, notable app changes and omissions, security/networking, compatibility, overall speed/stability, SKUs/pricing.
